Quick report
There's been about 2" of snow accumulation at 5,500ft elevation and up. With warmer weather, this layer was becoming saturated and easily slid/balled up over the old snowpack. Roller balls galore. The other concerns were precipitation and warm weather causing wet loose slides on steeper slopes where snowpack is shedding.
Avalanche
Hiked up to Hidden Lakes Peak (North) starting at 4am. Sibley Creek bowl still had old debris in it. On our way down (9am), the traverse from Hidden Lakes lookout to Sibley Creek bowl had about 3-4 small wet loose avalanches that crossed our a path. This was West, Northwest facing aspects. One observed slide was a glide off the steeper rock on the ridge that landed above our path behind us. Moved quickly down slope into the trees to cut the corner and avoid Sibley Creek bowl.
