Tour of Mount McCausland and Lichtenberg via Smithbrook road. Ascended up SE ridge line of McCausland and descended down SE face in trees. - Wind effect most places near in the last couple hundred of feet to summit - Soft but heavy powder on most of the descent - No signs of instability Crossed west face of Lichtenberg near lake to get to the uptrack - Very significant wind loadings but no signs of instability with several jump tests Ascended SE face of Lichtenberg - Various levels of wind effect - hard wind crust in many places Descended down N chute of Lichtenberg - Excellent ski conditions.
