Quick report
On and off light snow and light wind in the morning. Depth of new snow was quite variable depending on tree cover, drifting. Probably 4" medium density on top of moderately firm, supportable snow from 2 days ago in the trees. In open areas the new snow was 8-10". No signs of instability on the skin track or skiing the trees. Poked out onto one of the open shots ~5200' and a hand pit broke easily and cleanly ~18" deep (storm interface ~2 days ago?), so we stayed in the trees and lower angle open areas. Early afternoon the sun came out and was immediately having a big effect—trees shedding and roller balls at 4200'.
