Quick report

Right side up powder well bonded to the rain crust below, was surprisingly good riding conditions for early season. Boulderfields are filling in. The creeks are still open in spots below 4600’, and navigation in general was difficult below 4700’. Northern and eastern aspects rode very well. Evidence of strong winds from the west on the ridge south of tye, with some wind drifted snow, but no evidence of wind slabs in quick hand pits dug at 5200’. Calm all day long, and our early tracks had filled in with a couple inches of snow by the time we returned.
