Quick report
Made a couple laps on Mt Judah today on E/NE terrain. Winds were light in the trees on the way up. Aspects exposed to the sun and lower angled terrain had a thin sun crust, N aspects hold cold snow. Dug a quick pit at 7900ft in NE wind protected terrain to look at the snowpack. Old crust/facet layers seem to be gaining strength, snow below new snow was finger hard. There was a thin layer of weaker snow between old snow and recent snow. But no signs of instability noted on tour. Once on the ridge winds were moderate+ out of the east blowing snow of the cornices to the west. NE aspects hold cold, sugary snow providing good riding conditions
