It was snowing heavily at the car when we arrived around 11:30am and the temperature was about 30 degrees F. The rain/snow line was around 4,400ft. It continued to snow for the remainder of the day, but the snow seemed to lighten as we gained elevation. There was about 10” of new snow on Mt. Fuji. The snow was heavy, but made for good skiing. It was still snowing heavily when we left at 4pm. There was minimal wind and we observed no active wind loading or drifts. Observed one isolated crack and collapse under my ski on a small roll over near the top of Mt. Fuji. This occured in the new snow and there was no movement.
