Quick report

We left Salt Creek Summit at 1000 and it seemed the precipitation had just turned from rain to snow. Snowfall intensity was just under or around 1" an hour for the few hours we were out. Winds were light, out of the south then shifting to the northwest. Around 11:30, at the top of Baird's (just below 7,000'), we found 4-6" of new snow sitting on 4-5" of wet snow grains. The old snow below 7,000' in elevation was wet and likely saw rain last night into the morning.
