Quick report
Toured up the "Fire Line" in the Camas area. I parked just past the Coyote Coulee trailhead at 4600 feet. The road was fairly well packed down by recent snowmobiles. Started tour at 0900- 28F and morning fog which turned bluebird by 11am. Very light wind present from the SW, not strong enough to be transporting any snow. (On primarily East aspect): From about 4600-5800 feet, snow was extremely punchy crust. From 5800-6800 feet skiing was enjoyable- observed about 1-2 inches of fresh snow on top of a very thin breakable crust. Above 6800 feet, no crust present. Isolated area of very small diameter surface hoar present from 6800-7200 feet (East aspect). The top 1200 feet of skiing was excellent and worth lapping. No red flags observed during tour.
