Temperatures hovered right around freezing most of the day at all elevations. Winds were generally light and terrain driven with evidence of previous ridgetop winds. By the end of the day, 2-3 inches of new snow had fallen at upper elevations. Lower elevations had a trace.

Snowpack

Overall the snowpack is stable with no layers of concern.

We found some buried crusts on southeast aspects but there are no facets surrounding the crusts and snowpit tests yielded no results of note. Previously, 6-8 inches of new snow fell at upper elevation but is capped by a breakable crust on all but the most sheltered north aspects. Instability tomorrow will likely be isolated to the new snow overnight and could be moderate at upper elevations depending on snow totals tonight.
