Widespread hoar frost, some had been knocked over, some was still standing. Cold morning, starting out around 15, peaked at about 30 in the mid afternoon. Did not dig a pit, stuck to non-sliding terrain. Mostly just curious what was happening with the snow. The current snow status will make the rest of the winter a bit scketchy - keeping an eye on the depth hoar and surface hoar as snow is stacked on it.
Avalanche
Several smaller avalanches off Lolo Peak proper, looked to be wind slabs. Limited to ridge on the northeast face.
