No red flags were observed however a widespread shallow snowpack is a weak snowpack and early season hazards are abundant.

We were on a protected slope in the trees. On more open slopes light wind loading may exist.

Snowpack

60-70 cm depth, the top 10 cm was new low density snow that fell the last week sitting on a knife hard crust. Our CT broke at the ground but we had no result for ECT. Facets are developing below the crust. There is a lower density crust between 45 and 39 CM with faceting below. We believe rounded grains are beginning to facet as the temperature drops.
