Quick report

Collapsing
specific

Climbed sunny slopes and encountered roller balls but no whumphing until around 4800'. Whumph city on solar aspects at and above 4800' and across Lake Valhalla. We stuck to somewhat supported slopes <35° and gave Lichtenberg a decent berth after observing debris from many wet loose and one slab avalanche on the west face, estimated Sunday occurrence. Collapsing stopped happening at about 4900' on the NW side of the lake where slopes <25° were in and out of sun and fun skiing was had. No instability observed on the NE face of the ridge facing Mt McCausland on Sun evening and Mon morning. Mon PM dug a pit on the SW lake shore on a W aspect 30° slope, HS 185, ECTN21, CTH9, key weak layer buried 30 cm rounding facets.
