Quick report
Dug a quick snow pit down to the early February crust and performed a couple compression tests. First one was CT12 and failed in planar fashion on an interstorm layer roughly 15-20cm down. Second test I was paying closer attention to that area and got CT7 in the same spot. Not really a sudden collapse, just a planar break that took a few taps to cross the plane. More than a few interstorm layers in the top 30 cm of the snowpack. Skied Pineapple Pass. During the approach, on the climbers right side of the valley, the leader heard one whumpf on a steep apron, no shooting cracks to note.
