No signs of instability. About 14-18" soft snow above somewhat denser snow. Handpit at 8100' SE: 120cm well graded snow, 4f+ at base, over 15cm moist but large, angular facets along with some icy matrix in places. Intermittent light showers S1 and light SW wind. Below freezing. No solar effect. No propagation tests. No wind slab encountered. Max slope angle 31*. No problems expected with facets buried beneath well graded 120cm spx.
