- Raining by the start of our tour at 8am saturating the top 4” - Small test pits showed the interface to be within the recent storm snow where it changed from moist to dry. - Using corniced test slopes, we observed reactive entrainment of the upper 4 inches of moist snow. - Ski quality was not good.
Avalanche
D1.5 Natural wet loose under the blueberry cliffs. 4600’, N facing. A smaller D1 slab avalanche released just left of this Wet Loose. And we observed a few wet loose naturals that triggered small slabs in steep east facing terrain on Mt. Herman.
