Quick report

Cracking
specific
Collapsing
widespread

Whumpfing (sp?). We experienced 20-30 whumpfing collapses, some rolling away from us across the slope. We found these at all elevations from 3600 to 6800. Hand pits showed fist hard facets between December crusts. Hand pits would fail easily or upon isolation on these interfaces. Sun breaks with light east wind and occasional S-1 new snow. New storm snow was slightly upside down. Crust that formed Jan. 7th could be found ~40cm down. HS varied from 90cm at lower elevations and 140cm higher up.
