Quick report
No signs of instability at and below Source Lake. New snow (lots!) appeared well settled from Thursday. Unfortunately the base is nearly non-existent following the early week rain. Travel in the valley is very frustrating, most creeks are open, with many downed log and underbrush hazards. Above Source Lake was much better. All-time Snoqualmonix snow, but there just isn’t enough base down low yet.
Avalanche
Several small 8” crowns on rollovers around 4300’ on the way up to the Divide. Appeared naturally triggered.
