Quick Observation

Lots of action in the Window Mountain area today! When we first arrived we noticed a freshly triggered size 2 windslab out. Upon closer inspection we saw fresh sled tracks leading in so we initiated a transceiver search just in case. We found no signals. We could hear people hill climbing nearby so we went over to share the news of the avalanche. As we were talking to a couple of people in the area, we noticed one person highmarking trigger another windslab, luckily smaller than the other one - a size 1.5 this time. He was able to get out of the way in time. It might take a few days for these reactive windslabs that formed during the strong to extreme wind event yesterday to stabilize. As a result, we decided to avoid riding steep wind loaded lee features today.
