Some evidence of wind slab still seem to be lingering in the alpine especially on the eastern aspects. Overall great ski quality and a beautiful day.
Observed a few old avalanches from the last storm. Found some windslab near ridgetop on the E side of the Slot. Though there was evidence of wind distrbution in a lot of areas this one spot was extremely hollow, a bit thicker 15-20cm and had good propogation.Weather

Few clouds in the am becoming scattered throughout the day. A few good sun breaks early morning. Calm to light winds from the west. Cold temps and no precip today.
Snowpack
Dug around 6750' (ESE) in the W Fork of Cedar Creek drainage. HS 190cm
Found the solstice crust 75-80cm down but it did not produce any results on snowpit tests. We did get 2 sudden planar results (CT SP M x 2) on recent storm snow 35cm down overlaying what appeared to be a thin sun crust. Even though we dug in a sparsely treed area the top 5cm were wind buffed snow.
Avalanche
Observed some older storm/wind slabs in steep rocky terrain near Pika/Poster Peak.
