Quick report

specific

Skied skyline ridge north and south faces today. North in the morning, snow felt pretty stable and dry. Started skiing south face at 5100 ft at 1:30PM — the first 500 feet saw slightly heavier wet snow with some reactivity. Around 4500ft on an open face we triggered multiple D1 wet slabs, 3-5 inches of snow. Continued our way down through the dense trees, every slope above 30° degrees was reactive. On our skin out ran into another party who got caught in a slide on a large open face, slid down ~100 ft and deployed airbag

Avalanche

Triggered multiple D0.5-D1 wet slabs on south facing slopes above 30 degrees, both on open faces and in dense trees around 2pm. Another party reported someone getting caught on larger open face, and being carried 100ft before deploying airbag.
