Weak bond and easy For blocks to pull away on hand pits. Triggered two storm slabs in steep terrain.
Avalanche
As forecasted there was a poor bond to the old crust. Quick hand pits showed a weak bond with new snow breaking away easily and cleanly from crust layer. Skied low angle terrain on north chair and it was wind scoured and funky. Ski cut the thumbtack on the way back and triggered a reactive storm slab. Also triggered a storm slab on a steep section in the trees lower down.
