A pit at 6400, N east aspect , there were several discontinuities in the upper 25cm of snow, none were very reactive. There was a light amount of surface hoar. A crust that went from manageable to total BS was wide spread, as well as pockets of wind board. South aspect trees at all elevations, has shed there snow, or it had melted creating an ice patch . Quite a noticeable pooling of cold air at lower elevations.
