We toured up above Taylor Meadows. Sheltered trees above 1,500 m held powder that was starting to get sun-affected in the afternoon. In the S-facing slopes below the Tusk things got warm in the afternoon and we skiied supportive wind-scoured slopes with a soft layer a couple cms on top that made for nice turns. We heard lots of whumpfing (> 10 times) on the uptrack between ~1650 and ~1800m in the S-facing forest and glades heading up towards the SW sub-summit of Black Tusk. The road up Rubble Creek is completely snowed in and the switchbacks are fairly icy but skiiable most of the way to the trailhead, depending on how much you cherish your skis. There is another MIN report from today which also reported whumpfing in the same area.
