Avalanche Information

We observed 3 different natural avalanches on SE slopes just below ridges, following the wind event that occurred on December 30th. SE alpine slopes in the Rossland range typically have a shallower snowpack and have been very faceted this year. Recent wind loading (from the N) have loaded the start-zones triggering natural avalanche activity. The next storm will increase risk on any slopes that did not already release. Be very careful around S and SE aspects!!!
