Chester lake to Elephant Rocms

Skiied up to chester lake and up to elephant rocks. The snow on the trail was packed down and had a base. At elephant rocks we went up a side for lunch, the snow was crusty on top and powder under. If you went slow your skis sunk into the powder and you got stuck with the crust on the top like a wall. We did not go up to a ridge for runs as the snow sucked. (I'm sure there are more technical terms for this but this is what I got!) Skied down the trail back to the car park. Lots of adorable puppers.
