Unnamed summit NE of Fraser

Climbed the small summit NE of Feather Peak. Strong North winds all day. Variable snow conditions on the upper snowpack -- icy at the top of the summit, hard snow on the north slopes, punchy windslab (about 5 cms thick), hard snow on East and SE aspects, some areas had 15 cms of wind deposited soft snow over a hard layer (that I couldn't get my ski pole thought) . Feather bowl looked very wind scoured. Below Feather notch the ski and sled tracks were exposed from the wind (see photo). We triggered a small avalanche coming off the summit -- see other post for photos and information. One whumpf below treeline skiing near the lake.
