We went to investigate the Seaton basin today. This area has steep alpine features that get loaded with snow due to moderate SW winds. There were a couple older wind slab avalanches and one cornice fall but nothing in the last couple days. We started on some smaller slopes to get a feel for the wind slabs reactivity before working our way cautiously onto larger features. We avoided being under large cornices and moved quickly and spaced out under large slopes.
