A nice early season tour up Wawa Ridge and Standish. We were able to skin all the way to the summit of the ridge (I've never been able to do that before, usually have to boot pack the last 100m). Skiing was much better than expected, we enjoyed some good turns on great powder down mellow slopes below the ridge. We stayed entirely out of avalanche terrain, but noted no instabilities despite a lot of trailbreaking. Lots of wind effect in the alpine, as expected. Somehow managed to avoid the sharks. The rockiest skiing all day was on the Sunshine ski runs.
