Wolf Creek

We remotely triggered 6+ avalanches within the new snow on facets on crust and small facts on north aspects. Crown profile was 52 cm in depth, F- to F slab running on small, 1mm facets. Some of these facets were on the crust, however, on more northerly aspects, this layer was barely discernible and did not produce results in an extended column test (the slab was too soft) or a PST (the weak layer was too hard to isolate and find with a saw continuously).  This layer may gradually taper in sensitivity but I believe will continue to be reactive with continual load being added throughout the next several days. The terrain-trap nature of many of the drainages pose a very real hazard, and remoting an avalanche in terrain above you is currently not out of the question. If recreating in the terrain here, approach via low-angle ridges with little to no overhead exposure.
