Quick report
Roller balls were cutting loose under foot and tumbling downhill, growing to the size of a golden eagle before you could look away. The snow was completely soaked from the rain overnight and what kept falling through the day. It rained steadily, heavier in the afternoon, with no new snow at all. I topped out around 6,800 feet. South-facing slopes were mostly bare. The north aspects held snow, but it was sloppy and unstable—wet loose movement and larger roller balls triggered.
