Travel was up to Timp Divide to dig a snowpit adjacent to where I dug exactly three weeks ago.
It is a sign of the times of the winter that, upon arriving, my previous snowpit was nearly, completely intact. Compare the two profiles below.
Today's photos of the exceedingly weak facets on the snow surface and faceted graupel.

Depths of 1-2' up to 8100'. North facing exceptionally structured with facets and crusts; East facing roughly the same, just capped with a thin mf crust.
