- Heavy Snowfall, Wind Loading
Dug a pit near treeline on Patsey this evening around 4:30. Snow was falling hard, and winds were cranking S-SW, although weren't incredibly sustained just super gusty. The snowpack in this location was plesantly deep, 3-3.5 feet, with no real notable layering, barring a layer at the ground that had begun to facet...but doesn't seem to have gotten too far in that process. I didn't have a crystal card, but I'd describe them as, "sort of sticky, but not sticky enough to make a big snowball". ECT yielded no results.
