Instability Comment
<p>Sensitive wind slabs on steep east facing slopes. Intentionally triggered wind slab on buried surface facets and a hard sun crust at 8500 ft E on a 34 degree slope which rolled over to greater than 40 degrees. About 30 ft wide running about 150 ft vertical. The crown varied from about 4-12 inches deep. Hang fire quick pit failed on the back cut.</p> <p>Ski cuts produced wet sluffs on steep slopes with underlying crusts at low elevations.</p>

Damp snow on solar aspects and at low elevations. Powder  and soft wind slabs at higher elevations.
