Quick Observation

Skied the the west facing slopes above Crater Lake. Were mainly overcast but become broken in the afternoon. Moderate southerly winds. Temperatures remained seasonally cool in the alpine. hover there was poor overnight crust recover below treeline. Up to 10cm of recent storm snow over old near surface facets or very hard previously wind affected surfaces. Moderate wind transport through the day formed small thin windslabs in steep lee features with some isolated cracking from the skis where they sat over facets. South through West facing terrain becoming moist on the surface as the clouds cleared in the afternoon up to 1500m and steep south facing terrain woke up producing several loose wet avalanches up to size 1.5. No overflow on Bryant Lake. Sunday was overcast with moderate northerly winds.
