Quick report

Red Flags
Recent Avalanches, Wind Loading

Found mild wind loading, including cross loading, on west and northwest facing slopes forming wind slabs up to 10 inches deep. Also found evidence of a natural small wind slab avalanche on a northwest facing slope just below the summit of Cougar. The slide likely ran yesterday, was maybe 10 inches deep and didn't run a significant distance. Might have been triggered by natural cornice fall. We found great powder skiing in tight trees on a 30 degree north facing slope between 7000' and 8700'.
