- Cracking, Collapsing
Two large audible collapses that went out 50+ feet on the up-track at about 8500 feet elevation. On a 10 degree slope with lots of sage brush sticking out between me and outer extent of the collapse. Lots of cracking on the skin track between the new and old snow interface at elevations between 7800 and 9000 feet. Snow depth went up to 26" in open areas. Lots of wind action too, in open areas skin track partially filled in on the second run.
