Dug to get an idea what is going on with the deeply buried facets. The slab was so stout it was tough to cut through even with the saw. Digging down to the PWL was quite a bit of work. Found the facets were 1F in hardness in my pit on a SE aspect at 8800 ft.
I also did a CT and had a result of CT-21 with a Q1 shear resulting in a hulking 100cm column falling into the pit.
