Quick report

We found 1-4" of wet, saturated snow can be found on N-facing terrain above 8500', predominantly in open, unforested terrain that we traveled just below 9000'. Above 9000', up to a foot of snow can be found. The large majority of terrain remains snow-free.

Snowpack

Previous snow was damp and moist to the touch—perfect for making snowballs. The rain that was arriving as our field day was coming to a close will saturate this further. What doesn't melt away will set up well as a base when temperatures drop.
