My first pit at an elevation this low this season. Kind of surprised how litle snow there was before this ongoing storm cycle started. Though looking back at photos i'm reminded that it was pretty bleak 10 days ago.
I conducted a few tests:
* ECT - ECT N - 23 @45cm on the top ice crust. The column broke under my shovel. I kind of regret not spending some more time to do some more ECT's. I think would not be surprised of subsequent tests propogated.
* CT - CT-8 @45cm - Q1
In general the pre storm snow is a bit of a garbage heap especially on these lower elevation shady zone where there was a thin snowpack.
