Quick report
Sunshine or powder? We had some of each:
- Increasing cloud cover and light southerly winds shut down today's expected warming,
- We saw only a handful of rollerballs and no wet loose during our travel
- We saw many signs of recent southwest winds
- We observed minimal blowing snow and no cracking.
- We found the 1/31 facet layer buried 4+ feet deep and under a series of crusts from early March.
- These facets are rounding out but still produced unstable results in pit tests.
We skied planar, wind sheltered terrain and traveled one at a time on the steepest sections.
No obvious signs of instability.Weather

Cloud cover started at Few and ended with Broken. Light Southerly wind with a couple flurries.

Noted 1 crown from February AR and 1 debris pile from warming 3/1-3/2. Also one debris pile from wind-loaded slope that looked to have occured during the last 1-2 weeks.
