Snowpack

Instability Comment

Snowpack has almost doubled in depth within the last week with consistent storms in the area. Winds have remained consistent out of the WSW.

3-6 mm depth hoar was found at the ground on an upper elevation slope on the north side of the compass. Layer was not reactive to stability tests in the pit that was facilitated. Rounding was observed. The attached image shows a depth hoar grain, but there was plentiful depth hoar present at ground level.
