Quick report

We went for a tour above Sonora Pass during peak afternoon temperatures to check on surface conditions.

We did observe any wet snow instability, but found punchy snow near rocks, increasingly melted out obstacles, and open running water. Snow surfaces were supportable to skis throughout the day but booting was a mixed bag. On a ridgetop around 10800' light winds were cool enough to want an extra layer, but otherwise warm temps today.  Surfaces on N and E aspects are a mix of runnels, textured snow and smooth corn.
