Quick report
Bulletproof windslab in the Trims creek drainage up to Item peak and isolated pockets of large (up to 3ft tall) sastrugi. Pockets of snow on the SE face of Item had softened a bit by mid afternoon but were still surrounded by bulletproof windslab and melt freeze crust. No signs of avalanche debris in the normal avalanche paths up Trims Creek (but one section with ice fall off a waterfall).
