On approach to Cracked Ice we experienced cracking on specific terrain features in North Facing terrain where wind had drifted and stiffened the snow surface. Depth of these cracks was often 20cm but as thick as 50cm on steeper and unsupported test slopes. We also observed wind transport on the the surface and at ridgtop up by RFS. We did a couple laps and our skintrack was actively filling in between runs with wind transported snow.
