I skied the short NE/E slope between Heaven’s Gate and Twin Lakes Pass. The new snow was certainly heavy and wet as forecasted, but never had any cracks or obvious signs of wind loading. I did a ski cut - nothing. Then started to ski it. On my third or fourth turn a small storm slab kicked loose ant my feet and ran about 40 feet. Simple to ski away from in this terrain. It was shallow, broke on the underlying crust layer. Due to the wet snow it released like a wet loose.
