Quick report

Toured up to Breccia Peak to look at current conditions. There was evidence of a variety of fairly recent avalanches; wet loose, wind slabs, wet slabs on small slopes at lower elevations, and two larger avalanches that likely failed on persistent weak layers at the base of the snowpack. I dug at 1,040 ft on a NE aspect and found the average snow depth there to be around 225cm (over seven feet). There were multiple crust/facet combos in the top meter of the snowpack. No propagation was observed. The snow on the surface had experienced a previous thaw/freeze cycle or two and became wet by noon today.
