We observed widespread wind effect and active loading on mid to upper elevations of Seattle Creek. Fresh wind slabs from the outflow event were hard and reactive, especially on the west side of the creek. We remotely triggered three shallow hard slab avalanches on wind loaded SE aspects at 3400’. Some natural windslab crowns were visible on a S aspect of Big Chief and surrounding peaks.

Remotely triggered three hard slab avalanches from a short distance while traveling the E ridge of Big Chief. These slabs were around 5-14” thick depending on wind deposition, and existed on a SE aspect loaded by recent outflow winds.
