Strong 24F inversion in the morning, though otherwise calm and sunny weather throughout the day. Most notable observation throughout the day was the very warm temps and that on sunny slopes there is a thin, shiny melt-freeze crust that is thickest on steep southerlies. Shaded features still held surface dry snow. Felt like a warm spring day. Instability tests throughout the three groups were showing unstable, though stubborn, propagating results (ECTP22 on depth hoar). Large 1-3' deep peeling cracks on a low angle slope above a loaded gully, very surprising feature (pic attached).
