Quick report
Stormy day on Tincan with moderate winds and precipitation all day - snow line was about at the bottom of the Tincan trees lap - below that it was on the wet side. We observed some small avalanche activity through the day. On the bench below Common bowl a ski track broke off a 12” wind slab with distinct crown that propagated approximately 8 feet. Below the cornice to the lookers left of Common bowl, a natural slab released about 20 feet across with a 6-8” crown. And below treeline in the wetter snow we were seeing small wet slabs/wet loose (?) moving some snow as we ski cut steep rollovers. We saw no cracking or whoomfing but there was some obvious wind effect in places and definitely enough new snow (6”-8” above treeline?) and wind to move it around.
