Quick report
We dug two snow pits at the top of Tumalo and observed a wind slab about 18cm deep. Our column test failed at CT 3 and our extended column failed at ECTP 11 We dug on a convexity towards the top on the face ENE Aspect.. It appears that 10-15 people had already skiied on face, but we chose to turn around after observing propagation on our ECT. We observed an Upside-down snowpack with 15cm of dense 4-finger wind loaded snow on top of a much lighter fist-density layer, the rest of the snowpack below appeared to be stable.
